Ninja Classes for Kids

Ninja is where adventure meets athletics. Kids ages 5 and up run obstacle courses, climb, swing and jump — and burn off a lot of energy doing it — at Apex in St. Croix Falls.

It is a great fit for a child who is always climbing on something at home.

What a Class Is Like

Each class is a small group of kids working through obstacle courses built from the gym’s equipment. There is climbing, balancing, swinging and jumping, and always a new challenge to beat. Coaches cheer every attempt, and kids cheer each other on too.

Ninja is a great partner for other sports as well: the strength, balance and body control kids build here carry over to whatever they play next. Classes are taught by the same knowledgeable, passionate coaches who teach gymnastics, cheer and dance at Apex.

What Kids Learn

  • Agility and speed — moving quickly and safely through a course.
  • Strength and grip — from climbing, hanging and swinging.
  • Balance and body control — the same building blocks gymnasts use.
  • Grit — trying an obstacle again and again until it clicks.

Questions Parents Ask

Does my child need to be athletic already?

No. Ninja is made for all kinds of kids, and every child works at their own level.

What is the difference between ninja and gymnastics?

Ninja is built around obstacle courses, climbing and agility. Gymnastics focuses on skills on bars, beam, floor and vault. Both build strength and confidence.
